A flagship that reflects the culture, while ushering in a new era for Starbucks Asia.

Cambodia is Starbucks 16th market in the China and Asia Pacific region. As long-time design partners, Prophetic partnered with Indoteak Design, an FSC Reclaimed Teak product company, to bring the flagship store in Phenom Penh‘s BKK district to life. Prophetic designed custom products including flooring, cladding, fixtures, retail displays, furniture, and the centerpiece of the store, a seventy-foot experience bar. The store‘s opening was time in conjuction with the celebration of the 20 year anniversary of the opening of Starbucks first store outside North America in Japan in 1996. The Cambodian Flagship also launched a new era of explosive growth in the Asia Pacific region. Prophetic‘s products produced by Indoteak Design will build out over 16,000 stores over the next six years. Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks, and Premier of Cambodia, Hun Sen were both on hand. “We are proud to bring an elevated experience to Cambodia with the introduction of our Starbucks Reserve™ coffees,” said Mark Ring, president, Starbucks Asia Pacific. “Our new flagship store in Phnom Penh’s vibrant Boeung Keng Kang neighborhood will excite Cambodian customers with a unique coffee experience that showcases our deep passion for some of the finest coffees from around the world, while honoring the country’s rich heritage and culture.”
